FAQs

Does Analytics page show real time data?

The analytics page shows only real time data based on your search criteria.

How are cameras integrated into OEE with Fabrico?

Alongside PLC connectivity and IoT sensors, Fabrico can collect production data with the computer vision add-on. AI cameras are used on stations that give no machine signal, such as manual assembly or packing, where they recognize and count output.

The camera also detects stops, including micro-stops that manual logs tend to miss. Its counts and stops are calculated into OEE in the same way as the data from your connected machines.

See how it works on the computer vision page.

Do I need a PLC to use computer vision for OEE?

No. A camera can measure stations that have no PLC or sensor, such as hand assembly or packing, by counting the output it sees.

Those counts feed the same OEE figures as the machines connected through a PLC.

What is a preventative maintenance system?

A preventative maintenance system is software for planned maintenance that identifies potential issues in equipment, machinery or infrastructure before they lead to costly failures.

What will I see during the demo?

You will see live OEE by line and shift, downtime by cause, and machine and production monitoring on the real-time OEE dashboard. Then comes the built-in CMMS: how a technician opens a work order from a stop and how the repair history builds up for each machine.

To read ahead, see our OEE software and downtime tracking software pages.

Does Fabrico do production scheduling?

The CMMS database supports maintenance teams in tracking and managing tasks by centralizing the data and providing information about assets, work orders and maintenance schedules.

How does Fabrico track a machine over its working life?

Every machine has a record in the machine registry, with its files, its repair history and the spare parts used on its work orders. For connected machines, downtime analytics add how much production time the machine loses, and MTTR and MTBF show how long repairs take and how often it fails.

Together this gives reliability teams the machine history and downtime data to weigh a repair or replace decision. If you run SAP PM, a connection can be scoped per customer through REST APIs.

Beyond OEE, which production and maintenance KPIs can we track?

Next to OEE and its three factors (Availability, Performance and Quality), Fabrico tracks:

  • downtime by cause and micro-stops, in our downtime tracking software
  • MTTR and MTBF
  • reaction time on emergency repairs
  • top machines by repair count and task distribution
  • per-employee productivity

Dashboards can be customized for your company, and any list exports to Excel. A group account adds benchmarking across plants, and the Fabrico Copilot add-on includes a custom report builder.
